Default black horn 209

There is an update on "hpmuzzleloading.com" about the availability of the hghly awaited BLACK HORN 209. If I knew how to paste the article here I would. I will have to have one of the kids show me how to do that. Just go Toby"s sight and you will find it.

It sounds like it's going to be a very good powder.
My problem is that I've been shooting muzzleloaders for so many years I have a routine I follow every time I shoot & clean a muzzleloader. It doesn't matter which powder I shoot, I clean it as though I'd been using black powder. Even if it's non-corrosive I'd still be scrubbing the bore until it's spotless, then carefully drying & oiling it.

Wabi IMHO your routine is still a good habit. Has anyone heard anything in regards to the cost of this powder. I saw someone post a couple of months back that it would cost about $30.00 for 10 ounces, if it's that pricey it had better be the best thing since sliced bread. If you shoot a lot that just might be prohibitive.

The more I hear, the more underwhelmed I am.
Reports of $39/10oz msrp.
Hot 209's only.
Closed breech only.

Costly solutions to nonexitant problems?

That is what I've been hearing, about 30.00 to 35.00 per 10 oz. but you don't have to use as much because you get higher velocity with less pressure ???? And there must be some blow back because the residue is supposed to be really fine, dry, powder.

The 30 plus dollar price I am hearing is per pound. That to me is still too cotten picking high compaire to T7 and other powders out there.
But I guess that is the price to pay for lazyness.
