Default Knapping agate flints

Hello all. Just for a change, Iswitched toan agate flint in one of my MLs. Well now it has a couple of chips in it and it has gotten to the point where I would normally knap a flint.

Does a person knap an agate flint the same way as say a Black English flint? Or is there a different technique/method that is used?

Thanks,
~Robert

Default RE: Knapping agate flints

agates for me never knapped... Agates are a cut stone, so I take them in the shop and with a diamond wheel on a dremel tool, just re-shape them a little. Some times it works some times it don't.
