Default hazmat ??

I know you can't mix bp and smokeless in the same package (I maybe wrong on that)

can you mix rf primers and #11's on the same order?

Not sure if it is the same in the US as Canada but primers don't carry Hazmat labels here. I mix &match primers when ordering quite often, never had to pay Hazmat fee's or needed a hazmat courier either.

Quite honestly Corey, I've never ordered. If I can't get it locally, I drive to Pensacola (45 miles) or Crestview (20 miles)and can find pretty much whatever I want. I don't like paying a hazmat fee. That $20 can go towards so much other stuff.

It depends on the store. Some of them will do it. Some of them claim they can not, and soak you another $20.00. Be very careful dealing with stores and their hazmat policy. SOME OF THEMwill tell you one thing and then do another. If your not going to make large purchases of the caps and primers, your better off to just picking them up where you can. Remember as you travel around the country on short trips, stop at some of these gun shops and little sporting good stores. You'd be amazed at the bargins you can find in them. Lots of times, they have items that have been sitting on a shelf a long time, and they will make excellent deals to sell it (as I well know).

I am fearing the places won't have what I need. the place I get all my #11's and stuff for reloading was starting to have problems gettting things

I have a sportsman's warehouse about an hour and half away and they are putting in an Gander Mountain (I have heard what has been said about them) in that same area. There is one my wifes favorant clothing stores there too.

The confusion doesn't stem from the stores - as in all things government, it is the insane regulations involved that cause such confusion. One could read that, because the primers are contained in individual pockets in the packaging, no HAZMAT is required. Insanity prevails.
