Default TC FL with GM 21" barrel

I received my TC FL back from TC today, they put a new stock on it. I switch the barrel to the Green Mountain 1:28 twist and this is what it looked like. Basically it is a brand new gun, since TC sent me a new trigger assembly, new lock with the barrel, must have been easier for them to do that than switching over my old HW from my old stock. What is really strange, is they took off my old ram rod thimbles and put them on this new gun. So except for the thimbles, I have a new gun, never shot yet. Will try it soon. 21" barrel makes it great for deer drives, which is what we do in PA FL season.

I remember how your's shot, so I am expecting mine to shoot about the same. $95 for a Green Mountain Barrel is a very good deal. Thanks for your tip on that. Chap

It took about 6 weeks for mine. So yours will be coming in a couple of weeks. TC really stands behind their lifetime warranty. Chap Gleason

Did that barrel come from GM that length or did you shorten it?

It came that length. You will NOT find that barrel on the Internet either. I had to call and talk to the Lady that Cayugad told me to talk to, gave her my credit card info on the phone and I had the new barrel in 5 days. Wonderful, and the sights are Williams open sights, and if you had to buy them they are $40 with shipping and everything, so that barrel is a very good deal, 1:28 so it shoots sabots in a FL!

Chap

PS. I know that isn't traditional, but who rides a horse to go hunting and dresses in buck skin and uses only a bone handle knife, and married a squaw (Jerimah Johnson is the only one I can think of, and that was on TV). So my "line in the sand" is just a bit differt than your line in the sand, that is all it is still shooting a FL.

So far I have only tried the heavy 300 grain and bigger projectiles with low powder loads. While this would make a fine Whitetail load, perhaps more powder might be needed for elk or something bigger. I also want to play with conicals more when it starts to warm up. Actually I have a lot of rifles and loads I want to try.
