Default got my new glasses

I got my new glasses today, can really tell a change already. I also got a fiber optic rear site for my new englander. bad timing at the gun shop I got it at too. I women brought in about 6 or 7 guns to sale. one being an 45 cal. sidelock. the owner is going to call me with a price if he buys it.

do I need another gun. don't know the make or model. I was in a rush and did not get too much detail. 45 cal. spainsh barrel.brass hardware, full length stock. if he gets it I will take a better look at it.

Well corey, with those new glasses you'll see getting another sidelock in a whole different light.

You shouldn't have said anything to the shop owner about maybe buying that gun. You could have given the woman your phone number and said "call me if he doesn't buy it".

it was a little old lady. probly selling her passed on loved ones guns. looking at how all the guns looked. she is not going to get much for them. some of the hardware on the side lock was not fitting right. I wait for his call. I did some math and looked at the date. I can't get it right now. bills are coming due and my wife birthday is thursday.

does anyone know where I can look up types of guns. all I know is what it looks like. like I said. I did handle it a little but did not get to look at the markings.

I'll discribe it the best I can.
curved buttplate (brass)
brass trigger guard curving out wards
stock running the almost the full lengh of the barrel with a brass cap
where the nipple was, it was a round breech area.
did not see tangs.
the owner asked the gunsmith if it was a cva he said not but it is an a spainish barrel.

how that helps.
