Default .457-458 bullet in a ML ???

I am think of trying .457 - .458 out of my muzzleloaders. I have the sabots on order.

I know the nosler is great.
I looked at a box of seirra 300 gr jacket softpoint hollowpoint, just what the saleperson told me (did the dumb thing and did not look at the box).

looked at a hard cast 405gr but it was .459 price was $7.99 for 20 I think

then I looked at a mold, a lee .459 405+gr (can't remember) flat point.

would the mmp's be able to take the .459?

I always gotta ask something [8D] lol

I just don't think they will seat in the sabot right , Tighter than Dicks Hat band also , no consistant Accuracy
Take them back , get the right size !

I use the orange Knight/MMP .458 sabots with the hand casted .457 405 grain all lead bullet. They shoot real well outof a lot of different rifles..

300g .458 xtps work in my optima with the thinner mmp sabot. Not a super chore getting them down but tight. they group pretty well.

You could always size the cast bullet down to a smaller size for a custom fit.

It takes 3 sizers to go from 458 to 452 Just as easy to use the correct sabot.
