Default another shoot with the kentucky 50 cal

the different patches seem to do the trick. i shot five times using 75grs of rs, a hornady prb using the ticking for patches. my target was at 70 yards and i was leaning against my truck bed. first shot hit far to the right and low so i moved sight then i hit far to left moved it back alittle then aimed dead at center and high and thats where i hit ,aimed lower and bullseye next shotbullseye.

You patches look good...Now just need to work with the powder charge...

I shoot off a Black & Decker workmate, with an Outers gun rest...I'd work on getting a steadier platform so you can dial in...

little-d,

Try a short saboted bullet out of that rifle. My PA Hunter 1/66 twister shoots em into 3" at 100 yards with 90 grains of goex 3f. You will have to adjust your sights quite a bit but they are accurate as all get out. I have used Hornady .452 250 grainers, .430 200 grainers with great accuracy. They don't keyhole or tumble either. I know it's not supposed to work but it does in both of my barrels.

Those patched look just fine...

And the accuracy is there. Now it is all a matter of fine tuning. Nice shooting. I bet that is a hoot to shoot!!
