My brother got this VA buck on Tuesday of the first week of ML season, Encore 150g of 777 Pyrodex pellets and 300g SaberTooth. 30 yards where the neck meets the body. They hold together better that PB with high charges.

When I was stuffing every conceivable bullet/sabot/skirted combo down the barrel of my old 1:66 twist CVA, the Harvester Sabertooth in 270 grians proved the most accurate bullet I could find, pushed by 90 Pyro RS. Probably because it's pretty close to a conical in shape. I think you'll like them.

-They work quite well for me, they hold a 2" group @ 100yds and hold to gether much better than PB's with the loads I like to use, however since I some times shoot long range[over 150 yds both for target and hunting I have come to prefer the SW and Gold Dots especally the 50/40 200gr SW and XTP for long range and the 250 gr Gold Dot where I want or need a bang flop. 2" is about right. I couldnt get them to do anything better than that with charges from 90 to 120 grains pyro rs. The cup they sit in sucks, doesnt grip the bullet much.

I shoot the Saber Tooth Conicals out of a number of my rifles. I have found them easy to load and very accurate in Knight rifles or Green Mountain barrels. In fact I intend to try them out in my 21 inch carbine flintlock as if they are accurate as I suspect they will be, it would make a perfect short range stalking load. I have yet to harvest a deer with them though. But from looking at their construction, I am impressed with the bullet and the way they shoot.
