Got a hold of a Bess that needs some work and I was thinking about making some paper cartridges for it using the .69 caliber ball. I've never used paper cartridges before but it's a long winter and who knows how well they might work in deer season. Here is the question. What do you use for lube that will not make the powder load go bad? I've got pattern for the wrapper but the lube puzzles me. I do know that the British had used mutton fat but.........

Thanks Corey! Not exactly whatI was thinking about but a real neat way of doing it. I would never have looked on an SKS sight for ML technology. The beeswax idea is good. I'll have to try some roller papers and see how they work.
