Default KRB7 question

Looked at a KRB7 at Bass Pro last night. I could not figure out how you would reload in the field. As far as I can tell, if you release the trigger assembly to drop it, the whole trigger falls out the bottom. Surely there is another way to do this?

Dropping the action assembly is for cleaning purposes only. one doesn't remove the assembly to load the rifle.
Of course, the powder and the bullet are loaded from the muzzle. To load a primer: pull the trigger back into the cocked position (this puts the trigger safety in the safe position). Then rotate the block action open by pulling it backwards, like you did with the trigger. Slide a primer into the holder. Then push the block action forword, closing it. Flip the trigger safety into the fire position and you're ready to shoot.

TXhunter58

Didn't any one at BassPro show you how the action worked on the KRB ?
The KRB is one of the most simplest guns to use IMO .
Chris W that is a very good explination and great Photos

I don't know if you guys do it this way, but when I cock the hammer, as my thunb brings the hammer to it's stopping point I flick the block back with the index finger of the same hand. One fluid motion.
I loves it!

Thanks! I knew there had to be a simple solution, but I only had a few minutes before they closed and the only guy left at the gun counter had no idea how it worked. Makes sense now!

How easy is it to remove the spent primers? Some said it was a tight fit with a scope.

Can the firing pin be pretty easily removed from that block?

With the way it's designed, the spent primer is pulled from the breach plug when the action is opened. When I flip the block open, the primer typicallypops clear of the action. With the few that don't, I just turn the rifle on it'sside and the spentprimer falls out.

UC....I'm not sure about removing the firing pin. I haven'ttried toremove it.

There does not appear to be an easy way to remove the firing pin. Isoak the whole action in hot soapy water while I clean the barrel.
