I know it was fast just got it yesterday. about 8 maybe 9 hours of work in 2 days. I got talking to my gunsmith and he wants to see how I did. I am still thinking of putting studs in 2 of 3 of the holes and putty the last one. I am going to wait a few weeks and get a better rear sight. I think this gun is going to be a neverending project. there is a 75% chance I am going to refinish it again[&:].

It looks real good.. just keep at it. It all takes time to get it the way you want it.

looks fine to me. If you want to add a sling, you see those ramrod pipes? they sell replacements that have a sling swivel on them. Shame they did that to the stock. Could always drill them out bigger and then plug the holes with a trimmed piece of wood. Or just fill'em with woody puddy. <--- i'd do that one, its easy
I've had a wooden ramrod break on me at the range and leave a good sized hole in the meaty part of my palm.
I'd replace that sucker and just keep it for display purposes.
Cayugad advised me to do this months before it broke, but did I listen?[:@]
