Default How many guns?

I was just wondering how many guns you folks own, I brought one in today and my wife said enough is enough, I said "but Honey its only my 33rd , lets at least wait till 40, so it will be even, she said 30 sounded better" I shut up while I was ahead but got to wondering if this was the norm or not.

Thirty three guns!! you should be ashamed of yourself. Just kidding of course.

I have a large collection of guns myself. If I had to count handguns, shotguns, muzzleloaders, and modern center fires there would be a large number of them. But I used to collect handguns in my younger days big time. You can never have enough weapons. I always say, as long as I do not effect the financial flow of the house, I see no problems with collecting.

I'm sort of like Dave. I collected a lot of handguns when the high capacity magazine thing was comming. Just wanted to be OK if I needed to spray a crowd or something. I would have to count to be sure. I know my 15 gun safe and the 8 gun safe are full and you can get more than they say in each. That does not count the handguns.

I'm down to 17 long guns and 15 hand guns and am still in a "sell off" mode. About two years ago I started getting rid of the ones I just don't shoot anymore. But in the last year I sold four andbought two(a .58 Zouave and Great Plains.54 flintlock), so I guess I'm really in a sell some/buy somemode. Got a hankering for a .32 or .36 muzzleloader.

My wife and I had an argument one time over that exact issue. I will tell you why she got mad. I bought a Winchester Model 70 in 1978,the price was right around $200. I do not remember exactly. To justify my spending she wanted a new Wool outfit(the outfit was nice). The wool outfit was $200. We bought both. Whatpi**** her off was I told her in ten years I would be able to sell the Winchester for $300, and she might be able to get $1 for her outfit at the flea market. She did not appreciate my comment. Especially when she realized I was right, and my argument was logical. But why would a woman be logical??

As far as how many firearms I have-probably close to 200. But I worked in the firearms industry for years, and got some really good deals on them. I consider them my retirement policy. The problem is I keep giving them away to my friend's children. Tom.

Are you out of your freaking mind! Don't ever be right or point out the logic of your position. Ain't worth it. Just say "You're right honey, but you know how weak I am about these things. I love 'em almost as much as I love you" and keep an eye out for the next good buy.

HEAD0001, my first wife loved to fish and shoot and hunt, she could be reasoned with and could understand logic this one does not like to fish or hunt and hates guns if you say something logical it only makes her mad. Do you suppose theres something about fishing and hunting and shooting that makes people reason better?
As for how many guns I actually have if I never admit it she can not find out cause I keep them in safes. Lee
