Default 21 inch GMB carbine barrel

The newest addition to my collection. A Green Mountain Barrel Co.. 1-28 twist 21 inch flintlock barrel for my Thompson Center Hawkins. I have not had a chance to shoot it yet, but I had a few PM's from people that were interested in it. I did have to trim off a little of the thimble rib to make it fit the stock. I am hoping it shoots conicals as well as my other GM barrels and this short, well balanced rifle would be an excellent tree or stalking rifle..

Should be a sweet carrying rifle. I ordered on of those 21in bbls for a wmc I layed away at the local gun shop. I really like the way the White mtns carry, light and handy. I plan on putting a tang peep on it.

I thought of a tang peep, but have had them and really had trouble with them in low light. This one came with Tru Glo fiber optic sights, so I will give that a try and if I don't like them, will throw a 1X scope on it.

I like the idea of fiber optics, but when look at th 2 dots on the rear sight they are very blurry to me even though I can see the front sight pretty good. gotta try something before I scope it.

Have you looked at the RMC "V" peep sight- a lot of people say they really help the eyesight problem...

I almost ordered one for my renegade, Seems lik I read that one centers the front sight in the "v" not the circle I'm not sure which way to use one the price is right on them though!

If the weather holds and I get a chance tomorrow, I want to shoot it. I have a few projects around the house that need immediate attention though. I guess after all of that I can play.
