I also bought one [actually had it ordered] just before hunting season 50 cal, I just have to force myself to shoot my other guns, to its so slick to handle and clean that I believe its actually more fun. I took a deer with it using 110 gr 777 and 250gr Gold Dot. The loads its shoots well so far are 50/40 200gr SW 110gr 777,the 50/40 200gr XTP 90 gr 777, 250gr SW,the 250gr XTP with 90 gr 777 the Gold Dot 250 &300 with 110 gr 777, This particular rifles harmonics likes 777 better than Pyrodex I use the standard Win 209 because it plugs the breach plug up if I try to use the 209's made for muzzleloading. The only modification I have made besides adding a scope is to use a rubber warsher between two steel warshers between the forarm and the studs. The loads mentioned will all shoot 3 shot 1.5 inch groups or better if the shooter does. It has a tight bore and shoots Crush Rib sabots much better than any other; this is liable to vary with different particular guns as the tolorance on muzzleloading barrels is not standardized and nothing to brag about. Hope this helps. Lee

lemoyne,

Did you happen to try the Jim Shokey Gold powder by American Pioneer with your Triumph.
