Default How much Stock Torque?

I have been reading in some of the posts about consistent stock torque. My wife bought me a (FAT) Torque screwdriver for Christmas. I thought I read somewhere how much torque in general and how much on my Omega?

Yep....26-28.My Syn.Omega likes 26.And I have played w/it and have been convincedthat finding the sweet spot in torque value and keeping it there isa critical component of an accurate and repeatable shooter.Takes some time and testing, but ain't it fun when you figure it out. hunt4me

Torque, did you say Torque?? Yes you are right. I believe torque is more important in a MZ than what it is on a centerfire. I am anal about torque to the point that I will not take my rifle out of the stock during hunting seaon. I think torque is one of the basic problem's with the inexpensive rifles(flimsy stocks). If you bed and torque the flimsy stock I believe you will increase your accuracy. Tom.

Thats not exactly right. Most of todays expensive high end muzzleloaders are stocked with the flimsy stocks.

I can not agree with that one. Here is a picture of a high end Knight LRH. Definitely not flimsy. Tom.

Yes, you are right. I just love posting pictures of that LRH, man she sure is a shooter. I also have to agree with you on the synthetic TC stock's, but I just do not have it in my heart to berate the Knight's.

i really love that knight too. That is the ONLY laminated stock that i take a shine to. Barrel fluting is also attractive.

I just cant see spending the $750 for it. I could build a nice big .58 hawken for $200 less. Which i am saving up for Damn muzzleloaders easily make you go broke.
