Your powder brand is best determined on.. where you live and what powder is readily available in stores, and what powder your rifle likes best. Some rifles just will not shoot well with certain powders. The only way to tell is to try them on the range with different projectiles.

All powders have their good points and bad points. What kind of rifle do you shoot? What kind of projectile do you shoot? That is how I would determine the kind of powder I would shot.

I shoot all kinds of powder. It depends on the rifle I am shooting at the time and the bullet I am using.

Since black powder is getting hard to get I'm shooting more Pyrodex these days, but also in the process of trying out T-7. So far the T-7 seems to be as good or better, so I may switch.
Just a matter of deciding whether to pay too much, or way too much.

Pyrodex RS, and Pyrodex P. Easy to come by here, and won't break my budget. Have had good luck with the RS in my Lyman, haven't tried the P in my pistola yet, but it's comin'.

T7 is my go to powder right now, Goex Pinnical has promis too, Black works if you don't mind the mess, I avoid Pyrodex, don't like the gooy tar it leaves behind and I don't like that it is the most corrosive of all powders, I would use black powder before I would use Pyrodex.
