The older Tasco's were decent scopes the newer ones are mostly un-reliable..

Probably the best scope for that kind of money might be the Bushnell Banner series.

Check this sight out - they normally have about the best prices on scopes... Here is the Bushnell Banner page...

$60 won't get youvery far on a scope. Tasco went out of business! May get a decent Simmons. Bigger the bell the more light you let in. Most people would only need a 4 power formuzzleloading.

If you want to save some $$$ and still get a quality scope, chose a fixed power scope, such as a 4X.
I basically use 2 settings on my variable scope. 9 power for sighting in and shooting for groups. 3 power for hunting. I'm trying to figure out what to do with the other 7 settings[&:]

I guess some people like Simmons ,I got rid of the ones I had they had to much parrellax groups were twice the size of what I get with a good scope. The 1.5 X4 or the 2X7in a bushnell banner is what I would suggest in that price range or save a few bucks more and get a Bushnell Trophy which I believe to be the best buy on the scope market. I like a good scope but some of them charge a small fortune for the name and are no better. Lee
