Finally had a chance to slip out and shoot some today. I had cast a small batch of the 250gr Lee REAL bullets when I got the new mould recently and have been looking for a chance to test them in my T/C NewEnglander.
I set a target at 50 yards, dry-patched the barrel to get any oil out and snapped a couple caps. Then I poured down 80gr of Goex fffg and seated a REAL. At 50 yards I was about 3" high and1/2" right. Loaded up another and it went through the first hole! Shot #3 about 1" right of the first two. I adjusted the rear sight down and was bullseye level but still 1" right. Adjusted 2 clicksleft and shot 1" left. Split the difference on adjustmentand went back 1 click right and was in the 1" bullseye. Next 2 shots in the bullseye, too.
I think I'm going to like the 250gr REAL!

The load easily and I sure can't complain about that accuracy with open sights!
A 4 day muzzleloading season for deer opens next Thursday and I'll have a hard time deciding which rifle to pack along now. Sure would like to see the results of putting one of those little lead bullets through a deer's shoulder.
