Default Cheap shot success

Yeah, they work OK
Load was 130gr Pyrodex, 777 primer, and obviously, the 240gr cheap shot. Range was about 100 yards, passed through high in the shoulder, the deer dropped and expired soon after.

Very nice mule deer there. I have heard a lot of good things about cheap shots and their ability to take game. It sounds like you have a winning load there.

Thanks fellas. Both G2s are over 16", should gross 155-160. Spread was only 24" but I can live with that.
I'm fairly impressed with those inexpensive little Cheap Shots. They ran me about $4.50 per 20 @ midsouth. I might keep using them for muzzleloader season in the future: can't use a scope so my range is fairly limited and they did the job just fine. Usually I use a 250gr Shockwave in my inlines, which I'll continue to use for rifle season. Scoped accuracy was usually under 1", unscoped under 2"@ 100yds with the above mentioned load. They have my approval for anyone interested in an inexpensive load for paper and in the field. Give 'em a try.

My euro mount is coming along...need to do a little more skull cleaning, and he should be bleached and ready for the wall in less than a week.
