Default Torque screwdriver

Where would we find this screwdriver for tightening?the screws on our Omega's with synth stocks. Does everyone use these things? How much torque do you use?

Default RE: Torque screwdriver

There are a wide range of torque screw drivers available it depends on which type you want as long as you get it in inch pounds any decent one will do what you need. I personally like a digitalracheting type; now there are some people who go their own way on this and it is easy to do a bit of experimenting I would stay below 30 inch pounds to avoid unnecessary damage to those plastic stocks, most of us stay over 25 inch pounds to avoid the chance they might loosen, I set mine on my Omega at 28 inch pounds which is what my book recommends for that size and that thread.

If you dont like any of these any good tool supply or just put "torque wrench inch pounds
If you have one you have to convert to inch pounds the conversion factor is .0833
Hope this helps
