Because my scope in relation to my hammer is inconvenient, possible, but unconfortable, i even got high rings, you should have seen it when i had low mounts.

i see what you mean i just got my gun out to compare but i have the weaver see thru rings on my gun sits a lot higher and plenty of room to the hammer.i bet you will have to go with see thru rings to lift your scope up and give you access to the hammer...good luck!!
