Default Doe vs. Omega

Shot a doe yesterday afternoon on the last evening of IL's 1st firearms season. Shot her at about 25 yards with (2) Pyrodex Pellets and a 300 grainT/C Shockwave. It was a bang flop. Sad to say, but the doe was not much bigger than the coyote I shot on Friday. Any other hunters opting for the ML when they can use centerfire riflesor shotguns?

well congratulations of the doe. Them little ones might not be much in volume, but they sure make up for it in taste. We used to shoot a little one (we called them Webers) just for putting the whole animal on a large Weber grill. There was no better eating then that...

Killed me a little doe also on saturday. I would opt for my muzzleloader over a shotgun for deer any day of the week. I know the gun better.

We called them "Camp Deer"

and yes, I do use the ML during the regular gun season...when sitting on the stand. If I'm doggin I prefer the '94. Where I hunt during the rifle season there is no special season for ML's. The first week of Dec I'll be in Southern Ontario (8 hour drive)for a controlled hunt. It is a Shotgun / ML hunt only. No CF riflesallowed. We are not limited by the number of firearms that we can use so I'll be carrying 2 ML's with me. The flinter for the up close stuff and the inline when I need some reach.
