Default give up a day to work on my ML

I have only 2 days off a week to hunt all day. Centerfire season just started sat. and I am thinking of taking a day and working on my load for my ML. I only used one day (3 hours).

anyone that read and/or post on a thread where I talked about giving up a very short shot knows what I am talking about.

http://www.huntingnet.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=2453305

The goal would be placing 5 shots in 4 in area at 50 yards and maybe some 100 yd work too. cool thing, one of my hunting spots in about a mile or two from the range. so I doin't know what to do.

try 100, 130, or 150 gr charge of pyro (not 777) pellets behind a 250 gr shockwave, never saw a 50 cal TC that didn't like that load.

I have a knight usak and I use pyrodex p. it does not like pellets but it did like the couple of 200 or 250 gr shockwaves a guy at the range gave me to try under 90 grs pyrodex p. the guy sitting next me was swairing I put both of them in the same hole at 50 yrds.

yeah and they shoot best at around 2100 fps so bump your charge up a bit, I useta shoot 120 gr of P behind the shockwaves or the traditions APB's. a bullet in todays mzzlr's is designed to stabilize with a given velocity out of a given twist the twist is around 1/28" and they do best at just over 2K fps, hard to overstabilse a bullet but understabilization is disastrous.
My old thunderhawk just makes 1 big ragged hole in the target at 100if I do my part, wish ya luck, now I gotta go deer hunting.

seriously though, I would up the charge to 110 gr. that was my go to load before I found out that I got the same results with 150 gr of pyro (not 777) pellets.
