Default Why do I gun shop!!!

Hey Everyone,

Just got back from Cabelas and looked at the double barrel shotgun that I have been looking at. I must say that I really like it. The problem is that I saw a New England Firearms Sidekick that looked good. Well I made the mistake of picking it up. I loved the way it felt in my hands. Then came the biggest one. I shoulder it and fell in love. Needless to say I walked out of the store with 50cal. New England Sidekick. Any tip on loads to use it it. What a day.

Nolan

"Why do I gun shop?"

Same reason woman shoe shop, theres always a reason or outfit or whatever that you need another shoe/gun for. Good luck with your new toy and I hope you have a set of camo that it goes well with.

congratulations on the new rifle... did you get the primer holders as well? Perhaps a ramrod. But they are said to be excellent out of the box shooters. I would load 100 grains of Pyrodex RS and a 240 grain XTP for starters and see how it shoots. Keep us posted. Any try to contol yourself in the sporting good stores..

Hey Cayugad,

It came with the ramrod and the primer holders. Figured I better get out before I broke the bank. I figured I would head to the local store tomorrow for a few extra. Kind of hoping to give it a shot this week don't know if I'll have time but going to give it a try.
