Default harvester sabots

The harvester crush rib sabots are the easiest loading sabots I've ever seen. I don't know how they are as accurate(VERY)as they are while being so easy to load. I've gotten to where whenever I buy saboted bullets of any brand,I throw sabots away and use the harvester sabots. Yall need to try these sabots.

I have been using them for 3 hunting years now, ever since they came out. I hunted them down the first year the came out and they are excellent sabots---RMC Sports special ordered them for me. I have about 6 packages of 50, and I do throw away most sabots and use the crushed rib, the exception is in my Savage with smokeless, the sabot has to fit extremely tight to get ignition, so I throw away the sabot that comes with the Parker Ballistic Extreme 275g and shoot an MMP HPH 12 with it. It is the tightest fitting sabot I can get. I tried the crushed rib, but it is too loose. I am going to buy some "red crushed rib" made for the Savage after the season and try them. I dolove the way they go down in both my Knight and my TC Omega. See the thread I just posted this AM on my son's success with the Crushed Rib and his Knight Disc Extreme. That thread is here:

They are an excellent product, and they will shoot with 150g of powder. I used 150g 2 years ago, before I became "enlightend" on accuracy, by the collective wisdom of this board. I buy mine from MidSouth Shooter's supply for $5 or $6 for 50, cheapest part of a shooting component that can have a large large impact on ML accuracy.

I could not agree more. I started shooting the Crushed Rib Sabots when they first came out. I never had an accuracy issue except with two of my rifles and them. They just seem to work. Also they load like a dream.Harvester makes one called the E-Z load which are just a "little" harder to load then a Crushed Rib, but still easier then the standard sabot. The other day I was shooting a CVA Staghorn Magnum to check the RED DOT, and I shoot the E-Z load in them. Somehow a standard was mixed in there and I knew it the second I loaded it. It still shot well, but it took a lot of horse power to get it down the barrel.

Hey guys. Long time no type!

I was wondering if someone could recommend which crush rib to get for my Encore 209x50? Should I buy the green or black sabots? I shoot the T/C Shockwave 200gr bullets and they are a bear to load with the blue sabots that come in the pack. I know I should measure the bullets myself but I can't find my calipers.

Thanks

I forget offhand but it says which one it is and what fits on package or when you order.

G2 Shooter,The blue sabot with the 200gr Shock Wave is a 50/40 [thats 50 cal. barrel with a 40 cal bullet]
I have been looking for something like a crush rib for them myself and have been able to find nothing, it looks like the only 50/40 around, but if you get your sabots from MMP and a box of 40 cal [10mm] 200gr XPT you will find that they usually load a bit easier than the SW. Lee
