54 cal loading question

I am going back to hunting this year with my old thompson center 54 cal hawken. I have always shot Black Powder ( Goex ) thru it. my hunting loads were 70 gr FFF pushing a 300 grain Lee real bullet.
I just purchased a jug of American Pioneer Powder FFFG but can't find any loading data for the 54 cal. can anyone get me started with a recommended load. I also noticed on the jug it says " use no Lubes ". I have always used bore butter on my bullets when using black powder. can I still use the bore butter with the pioneer powder ? Thanks Steve

Try about 80-90 grains of APP and yes you can use a lubed patch. If the lube worries you, put a bore button or even a 10-20 grain amount of corn meal between the powder and the lubed patch. The corn meal will soak up anything that tries to make it to the powder and cleans the barrel when shot.

They may mean with Sabots.I know T/C says not to use Bore Butter with Sabots.It creates too much pressure.

Actually APP does not like any kind of lubes, but I have shot patched roundball with it and it never seemed to bother the charge too bad.
