Default Sabertooth Bullets in a NEF Huntsman?

It is getting close to black powder season season here in NW Fla and I have been experimenting with a couple of bullets. I have some 270 grain Sabertooth bullets that look pretty wicked to me and I kind of like the TC Mag Express in a 240 grain. I also have some Hornady XTP Mags in 300 grain. I have 50 cal. Huntsman and I use Pyrodex pellets in either 3-30 grain or 2-50 grain loads. I haven't tried any loose powder yet.

I'm looking forward to some of you more experienced shooters giving me some insight as to bullet selection. I figure most of my shots would be less than 100 yards the way my food plots are laid out. [/align]

I shoot the Saber Tooth 250 & 300 grain out of my Knight Disc using 100 grains of Pyrodex RS. I think they will make an excellent deer bullet.

My brother shoots the Saber Tooth 300g with 3 Pyrodex Pellets from an encore. They are an excellent deer bullet. He put this one down, with a shot to the neck/body at 30 yards. Chap Gleason

I tink a Sabor tooth is the best of the conicals, and a 240gr is proably one of the most widely used bullets for deer.
I would advise against the 300gr mag as I have had the not mushroom, they are an excellant bullet for elk and big bear but made a neat round hole in and out on deer for me, I did not loose the deer he went down inabout 150 yds and I has a skinny blood trail. Lee
