Default Opening weekend in Minesota results!

Well this past weekend was opening weekend in Minnesota. I was hunting with 6 other guys. I saw a total of 35 deer and sat for 21 hours. I shot this average sized doe at 120 yards saturday morning. I was using a winchester .45 with 100 grains of pyrodex and 195 grain Barnes expander. At the shot she dropped like a ton of bricks.

Then one of my really good friends that Ive hunted with almsot every day this year shot "droptine" sunday morning. We saw this buck almost every night bow hunting but we never got him. (check out that split browtine!)

Excellent! That "average size" doe would be a "big 'un" im my part of the country. Did you weigh her?

Thanks,

Frontier Gander- It is a Winchester x-150

Indy Hunter 83- It shoots amazing... with this load it shoots a ragged hole at 100 yards. It shoots any bullet under 2" at 100 yards. But its a X-150 not an apex.

Semisane- No we didnt weigh her but I would guestimate her at 127.85 lbs.
