Default cva sabots?

Has anyone tried these yet? And no, not powerbelts, actual cva slick-load sabots 250 or 300gr. Just curious. Thanks in advance.

I have not used them, but I have seen them in one store, they break away right?

I find this funny about cva, my bother in law and his son, both have cva wolfs and they watched the videos. CVA pushing the powerbelts and downing sabots and they put out a sabot.

Almost every major black powderfirearmmanufacturer has "their bullets" that they push. Its called marketing. I have seen them in a store once. I think the sabots were actually white, but I would not swear to it. My understanding is, they were made to fit the bore of the BPI rifles for the best possible accuracy. Just like Thompson Center has their Shockwaves, and Knight have their Barnes a.k.a. RED HOTS.

Depending on their cost, they might be worth a shot. If you get some and try them, be sure and let us know how they worked for you.

Oh I'd love to try them, I am just a little curious to see if it is a powerbelt sabot, or a totally dif bullet.

http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_

Cabela's sells them. They are expensive. They look a lot like a powerbelt with a longer sabot configuration. They also look like they are trying to tap into the Shockwave market..

They are some kind of pistol bullet with a silver coating. Not powerbelts! These have the crimping ring around them like you'll find on an xtp where normally the case slightly crimps to the bullet.

16.99 for a box of 15. Same price as some TC shockwaves i saw right next to them.

What i like about the cva slickloads are the 3"?" Rings that grip the rifling. That in my view would act like a great plains conical and the rings would grip the rifling when the charge sets off and the base of the sabot flares. Im really wanting to try some in my X-150 just to see how they load and shoot. After seeing todays prices on a large assortment of sabot/bullet combos, These dont cost any more than the shockwaves.
