Default need some help figuring out some yardage

tuesday I went to the range shot 2 sets of 4 shot groups did not do 5 shot groups because I was checking my scope settings with 2 at 50 yards.

I am shooting an USAK/240 xtp with mag express sabots/ 85 grs of pyrodex p. I am hitting at 100 yards 3 1/2" to the right of center (which I can figure out) and 1 3/4" down from center. total 4 shot group side of 3 3/4 "

I was only planning on shot no farther then 75 yards.. where should I aim for on the target? Or should I just zero it to bulls at 100 yrds?

I am not sure exactly what you are indicating, but from what i read...

1. You need to "on" right and left #1 thing...

2. If you zero @ 100 you should only be up (estimate)1+ at 75 which is no big deal...

I would zero @ 100 easy math - then shoot a group at 75 to know for positive...

Just some thoughts - do not if it helps at all...

WhereI hunt my shots are normally 50 yards or less... BUT there is a chance if I walked out in the field to get to the vehicle I could run into a 150 yard shot. I doubt this would happen but you never know. For that reason, I sight in dead on at 75 yards. Then from 25-100 yards I am never really out of the kill zone of a deer. If a deer were 150 yards out, since I have not practiced enough at that distance, I would simply watch the deer and HOPE it was dumb enough to walk closer to me.

info yall did not need, my mind was some where else

I missed 3 shots last year because of bad sighting on my part (30-06 sighted at dead on 25 yards) one >50, another 50 to 75 yards, last one at 100 yards. and the areas I mostly be hunting at is no more then 50 maybe out to 100 yards at most. unless I got to my bother in laws place where it may be 150 then, but doultful both in yardage and if I even go, did not see anything out there

this was my second try at 100yards. I hope this helps

Corey - First, if you sighted in your '06 dead on at 25 yds you probably shot over those deer. Your scope on average is 1 1/2" above your bore. You should have sighted in 1 1/2" below center at 25 yds, then checked it at 100 yds.
But since you're asking about your ML I would sight it in dead on at 100 yds, then like the previous posts, check and see where it groups at 50 and 150 yds.
Better luck this year.

1/4" clicks in that scope? If so, try 12 clicks LEFT (see arrow on knob) and 4 to 6 clicks UP.

Not to confuse you, but many scopes claim 1/4" clicks but they are often truly not 1/4". Some a bit more, some a bit less.

No. You can't just sight in a rifle at 25 yards and expect it to be on at 100, 200 etc. You can sight in for windage at 25 yards, but for elevation you must go out to 100 (even 50 is not far enough).Use the "3 inchover method" for Maximum Point Blank Range described here:

Best Wishes.

my 30-06 at the 100 yard target from the bench
I seem to average 2 1/2" high at the 50 yd target with both my 54 and 50 cal. flinters seem the bullet travel the same patten out to a 100 yd target still rising but only a inch over center. i can clover leaf group at the 50 yd target and 2 to 3" at the 100;I seen days were I can shoot all 3 rounds to touch at the 100 with round balls but it depends on how my body feels.
my inline will shoot 3: over center at 50 yards and the same pattern at the 100 yard
