Default 250 grain Shockwave report on deer this weekend

My wife has her digital camera out of town with her, so I cant take a picture. I was shooting a load out of my Omega of 110 gr. T7 with the 250 gr. shockwave. The shot was much farther than I regularly shoot, about 125 yds. The bullet went through the front shoulder and stopped at the rib and stopped just inside the skin. The 100 pound doe went about 60 yards and was dead within fout minutes.

It mushroomed quite a bit, probably to about twice its size on the very forward edge, most of the mass appears to have stuck with the bullet. I was pleased with the retention, but disapointed with my shot selection, as only one lung was hit and then the bullet passed through the forward intestines shredding them and filling up the cavity with excrement and other stuff.

The next time I will post pictures.

Well you got the deer. Now get it hung up, hose it out real good, and let it air out and they are fine.

Nice to hear the bullet did so well. Congratulations on the doe harvest.
