Default as money comes so does a more load test

I have my hunting load for this year, 240 gr xtp with mag express sabots and 85 grs of pryodex p. with 2 weeks until opening day of ML, no time to try anything else. but after hunting season is over. I am going to try some other type of bullets, sabots and even powders. Just going to pick them up as the weeks go by. can't do too much at a one time, the boss will get mad (wife). Any surggests.

Well there is no limit to the powder and bullet combinations out there to try. All you can do is find a bullet that interests you, get some and hit the range.

Also remember that places like Walmart will soon start discounting the ML stuff so keep checking in and get in on the deals.

I am counting down the days to the wally world clear outs, like I am doing with hunting season. worst thing is mine is about out of ml items, and the other on 15 mins away did not even get any ml.

hoping to get some pyrodex rs, shockwaves, and the hornady's when it goes on clearance.

LOL, what you say. I am not a fan of IE7 or is it 8 now I can't keep up. it runs slow on my computer.

But I did do some running around and hit a 3 gunshops. I may go with bulk 45 xtp in 240 or higher and try someother brands as well. I am wanting to try a number of sabots, harvester crashed rib and reg., mmp, kight hi-pressure, and try to find the black mag express. any others I should try. Powder wise, I am thinking of not changing now, it seem to work for me but I may still get the pyrodex rs and see how much they drop 777 at wally world.

That load you are using has been a time tested killer for me. Only diff is I used 85 grains of rs. Moved up to the 300 xtp's and went to 90 grains and it works very well also.

I would stay with the pyrodex rs, since 777 is more costly and has the crud ring problem which affects accuracy. You seem to want to get a more accurate bullet/load/sabot combination, the sabots are the cheapest thing to change that impacts accuracy dramatically, the cheapest place for this is http://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/, the mmp sabots are cheaper there than you can buy them from Del Ramsey. Next is bullet, if you want long range, accuracy, knock down power at a resonable cost then go with the SW or Hornady SST. I you want pure killing power go with the Barnes (TMZ for distance or MZ for shorter distance). I would suggest you buy this book also:

http://www.ramworks.net/estore.html

you will learn a lot more about reading and rereading the chapers of that book. Best Wishes on your quest for accuracy and terminal performance in your MLer, you will achieve it because your willing to learn and your seeking. Chap Gleason
