Any luck with 130 and 150 grain pellet loads?
Triple seven or pyrodex:
2- 50's and a 30 130
3-50's 150
My omega does not seem to like 150 grain loads, my buddys cva optima does however. If i nock it down to 130, is that enough to help in accuracy?
Whats results do guys have with these charges?

When I had an Omega the 3 Pyrodex pellet load still had decent accuracy. Opened up a little from 100 grain load accuracy, but still good for hunting.
I'd drop back to 100 grains then work up until accuracy falls off if you want a maximum load.
Actually, these days I start at about 80 grains of loose and if it shoots good that's as far as I go. A deer inside 100 yards isn't going to know the differance, and that's where I shootabout allof them. In the past 10 years I don't remember shooting one past 80 yards, and I usually shoot one or two a year with the muzzleloader. I usually bow hunt up until gun season, then just use the same stands to hunt from. In most of those stands shots would be less than 60 yards.

I am no expert at all. (just read my posts) but I find loose T7 to be more accurate than the pellets with one weird exception. One day at a 50yd range I got unbelievable results with 2 50g T7 pellets and a 295g Powerbelt. I shot a whole pack of them and they shot great that one day. I tried but have never duplicated the results ofthat day. I have had good luck with 110g of loose T7 with my Omega and bullets 250g or more.

I have 2 guns that do very well with 130gr of Pyro pellets and Shockwave bullets. I have not done a lot of testing with 150gr loads but the ones I did try I didn't find as tight of groups with it. Your gun is the determining factor in this question, give the loads a try and see what happens.

It takes the right bullet and sabot combination to work well with a heavy load, also as I just found out the bedding can be critical when you get above 120pyrodex or 110-777. In my Omega 150 grpellets with a 200gr Shock Wave or in the Triumph 120 gr 777 and a Crush Rib sabot with a 250 gr Gold Dot will shoot under an inch when I am shooting good off the bench with a 4 or more power scope.
