Hoping to get out and sight in my scope

I am hoping to go out sight in my USAK this weekend, it I can get somewhere to go. I am planning on sighting in with pellet (100 grs 2 pellets (just using them up) and mag express with 240gr xtp. Planning to shoot high at 25 yrds and 50 yrds. after I get to 75 yrds, fine tune my loose pyrodex p with the same bullets.

Am I on the right trick with this plan?

With the pellets it should get you close, but if you want to sight in your scope, why not shoot the Pyrodex P and the projectile of your choice. Sight in your scope. And then after you have it all tuned, then just shoot off the pellets for fun...

Unless you simply want to use the pellets to get on paper of course..
