Default C-daddy - Look another one

Collected enough parts - so I put another Rene 50 together this afternoon. It doesn't look that bad at all. Still have a little work to do on the lock and the trigger assembly. But everything works...

LookingGOOD Sabotloader.

Is that a steel buttplate and, if so, where can I get one like that?

Do you know if you can switch out a percussion to a FL? If so do you have to buy a 15/16 or 1" across the lands to do the switch out? Chap Gleason

Chap

I personally have not done it... but the stocks are the same. I think Lonewolf has completed this swap - percussion to FL

I have swap barrels and locks from percussion to flinters:The only problem you run into seem the older flintlock (locks) are a tad larger on the lock plate:I had a hawkens flinter and drop that that into a PA Hunter stock that was a percussion gun.I had another set from a hawkens 45 cal. and also drop iit into another PA Hunter stock again some small fitted may be required .I favor the PA Hunter stocksI also here the white mountain stock is the same.
The main thing are the barrels 15/16 need 15/16 stocks and so on for 1" barrel to a 1" barrel stock.

the above set up is from a vintage 50 cal hawkens

Just let me know when you want to sell one, ok bud? Either that or I'll just wait until Terry has had enough and finally does you in, then I think I could get one cheap!

I think we have an unspoken gentleman's agreement on this kind of thing. IF one of us breaks it, it could get real ugly.
