Default finely got to shoot the ported encore

it was worth it , sure did take some of the big push out of it.
i ha dto sight it back in as it had to be disassembled .after tiring myfavored load of 90 gr of 777 i must admit i was mot to happy with the groups ,which bothered me as that was its favored load .
so I'm all done shooting and I'm pulling my targets and it accrues to me i had not tryed any hotter loads . i went back to the bench and loaded it with 110 gr of 777. wallah, way better

So you ported it to reduce recoil, but had to increase your loads? (-1) + 1 = 0

I watch them hunting shows and have you noticed that the people shooting Encores, Pro Hunters, Omega's, and some of the Knight Long Range Hunters all seem to shoot really magnum loads. Maybe these rifles get better accuracy with hot loads.

I have a Knight Disc and while it will shoot 90 grains fine, it also really does a good job with 120 grains of Pyrodex RS. So who can figure out these things anyway.

Glad to hear your rifle is shooting well. So that porting really helped did it?

Hey Cayugad, don't want to hijack this thread but my brother-in-law has a Knight Disc and is having a little trouble getting a really good shooting load. If you can start a new thread with "Good Loads for a Knight Disc" or PM me, I'd appreciate it.
