Quesion about wads

When I shoot I can usually find all my patches but I have never found a wad. I shoot a regular wool wad so why cant I find them?

Your not looking hard enough. They are out there. BUT they do not always hit where you would think the patches might be. I have seen them much further down range then you would think possible. All I can say is, they are out there and you have to look. In fact if the wad is lubed too, sometimes you will find them attached to the patch.

Ditto, I was out shooting my Hawken and Renegade today. I shoot conicals over a felt wad out of the Hawken and I've even started using them under my patch and ball out of the Renegade. I was shooting 50 and 75 yds today and found several of my wads and patches probably about 25 - 35 yds downrange.
