Default no excuses

Have any of you ever tried a brand of bullets called "no excuses" made by a guy out of Roy, utah. I use them out of my A&H 420 with good results. I am a advocate of heavier is better , when it comes to putting lead into elk. The .50 cal bullets come in either 460 or 490 grain. The make has a interesting web site.

I use the 460gr in my Knight Mk-85 and my Knight Elite. Very accurate bullets.

You might want to try these Bullshop Bullets also. Very good bullets at a great price. I paid $115 for 500 of the .451/465's, that includes shipping and insurance. He's on vacation until April, but he's worth checking out.

Nimrodder

Have to agree with you, No Excuses are good - really good, but the Bullshop offerings are better - he will size them to your request to match your gun... no short starters needed...

Oh ya! and they shoot great...

Hey,
Have used No Excuse in .451 and .504 in both Whites and think they are the best. Roy is a great guy to deal with and as you buy more, the shipping goes down.

I have also shot them in .50 caliber with excellent results. And Dave is a pleasure to deal with. He sends the bullets and you send a check. I like that idea of trust for some reason.

They do shoot excellent out of my White and my Black Diamond XR. I have not got them to shoot well in my Knight rifles. I have some ideas I want to try.

Currently I am shooting Bull Shop conicals and some I made myself. I also want to size some of them to see if the knight will come around....

I looked at the bull shop website, looked like to me he uses an alloy lead mix for his conicals, maybe Im wrong about that, but I only like to shoot all lead, really that is the only thing we should shoot out of a ML unless it is a sabot. I have not had any joy shooting those, every one I have tried has proven to be quite a bit harder to load than various conicals I have tried. I also dont think they give a deep enough wound channel.

Happy day to you all

http://home.mchsi.com/~rltsr/bullshop.jpg a picture of some of the bullets Dan makes for us muzzleloaders. He can size to your dimensions (slug and measure your bore for best fit). He also has molds and offerings for the .58 cal and I believe perhaps some for the .54s. He even has the new "UC Short" for .50 caliber weighing a modest 442 grains.

Dan is taking orders until his deadline of Sept 30. Call or email to get your order in. Prices are great! Specify pure lead, #2 lube, diameter, which type and number desired.

UC Short
