Default Triumph Update

Well its a wussie in some ways, its one of the few guns I own that don't much like heavy loads. for instance it will tear a ragged hole with 110 gr rs and hole a decant group with 120 but it opens up to 2.5 inches with 150 [50/40 shock waves] It holds a reasonable group out to 250 ydswith 110 or 120gr.It shoots the 451 and 452 dia bullets quite well so far I have shot Gold Dot SW XTP 250 and 300gr. again it a wussieand will start opening the groups at 120.
On the good side it likes most bullets but has a very tight bore and needs thin sabots and the 50/40 200gr SW's. It loads HpH24 sabots sung, but shoots very well with them.
It is a dream to clean ,their is no blow back at all on mine nothing on the outside of the breach plug or in the action. you can take the breach plug out with your fingers as advertised[I wondered about that] it takes longer to clean the breach plug than the rest of the gun then hole job only takes me about 6 minites. No, I am getting it ready for hunting and in AR the only requirments are that it loads from the muzzle and you can not put a shell or shell case in it one of the few things not allowed is that 25 apc conversion but it shoots so good the way it is I am not about to change it it actually is as clean as the conversion; the only none sabot loads I have shot so far were some Sabortooth and PB's and it will stack them at 100yds with anything between 90 and 120 gr. The wife drug me out tonight for a short shopping spree, While her back was turned I wondered over to Diick's Sporting Goods a few doors down. I had the kid in the lodge get down the Triumph......just had to fondle it a little. Whats the deal with the breech plug. I unscrewed it and couldn't get it back in right. I lined up the cuts on the plug and reciever, plug showed up direction but couldn't get it to turn all the way seated. Theres a flat spot on the plug that looks like it's supposed to be in a certain posistion but I'll be damn it I could get it back in and close the action. Also the trigger assembly was hanging loose. Felt good, shouldered great. Whats the trick wit the breech plug??

It takes a few times to get the hang of it,had to play with it some. When you get it exactally lined up you have to press a little harder than I expected to compress the rings, then it slides right in and you can turn it to locked position. Lee

lemoyne -- as usual an excellent product report. With a load like you describe, 110 grains and a 200 grain Shockwave.. a deer would not stand a chance I suspect with that kind of accuracy.
