Default Its legal in colorado!

Just saw on the colorado hunting website that the CVA Electra is Legal during muzzleloading season!

The Division of Wildlife has received a number of inquiries concerning a new muzzleloading rifle made by CVA called the Electra ARC. It is considered a legal muzzle loading firearm for use in Colorado. IF hunters intend to have the chamber of this muzzle-loader charged with powder and ball, they must disconnect and remove the battery to stay within the spirit of the law (compliance) regarding loaded firearms in motor vehicles. The other option is to keep the firearm completely unloaded when in or on any motor vehicle.

It's now legal in S.C. also

there are no restrictions on ignition systems (e.g. Flintstone, percussion cap, shotgun primer, disk, electronic, etc.)
And I'm not getting one either.

Legal in Maryland also. Although, I recall if powder and projectile are in the barrel it is considered "loaded" here. The Electra is on my Christmas list.... for Christmas 2060.

If one hunts in relatively mild weather, it might be OK. After three years in Alaska, I avoid ANYTHING that depends on a battery for operation!

Currently, the electracan't beuse in Tennessee during the mz season. The regulations specifically say percussion cap or flintlock rifles.

I don't believe the electra will take off. Several years back, I remember Remington marketing something similar with their centerfire line. It didn't do well at all and quickly disappeared.

While I would like to shoot one, just for the experience, I have no desire to own one. I would guess, like all CVA rifles it would shoot accurate. For the price of them they should. As to whether I trust a battery, my luck would be when I needed it the most is when it would not work. But again, that is my luck.

I bet the trigger would be smooth since it is only a switch technically.

One 9-volt battery will reliably fire the rifle at least 500 times, and the battery will last 600 hours (25 days) "“ and that"™s if it is left turned on!
The pagealso hasa video link:

Just imagine not needing percussion caps any more!
