Default PRIMER'S??? POWDER???

I bought 100 of the Remington ML primer's this evening. They cost $5.50. Is that a good price?? I can not believe I spent that much. I also bought some Barne's TMZ's. I can not believe a tight *** such as myself spent that much money on bullet's. You guy's are a bad influence on me. I also bought one pound of 3F Triple7(loose).

What do you guy's think of the Remington MZ primer's?? I sure hope these bullet's shoot with this powder, and primer's. Tom.

Personally, the Remington primers are a last choice for me. I like the Dynamite Noble RWS 1075 best. After that I like the CCI MAGNUM #11, then Remington primers when I can not get the other two. And I will never waste money on the CCI standard primers again. I just ordered 20 tins of RWS and I gave $3.61 a tin. So I bought all the store had..

I thought the Remington 209 ML primer's were suppose to be cleaner??? Andnot burn as hot as a standard 209??? It sounds like I wasted $5.50. Tom.

My mistake here.. he's talking primers and I was talking caps. When I shoot primers I shoot Remington Kleenbore Primers ($5.99)and they work fine on loose powder. Whether they are cleaner then brand X, who knows? All I know is they still fowl the breech like the others and I have to clean the rifle.

When I shoot pellets I shoot Winchester W209 ($4.99). They are selling Winchester 777 primers in the store now but I refuse to pay $6.99 or $7.99 for 100 primers.

I just bought those primers too at $5.99. I used them with loose T7-3F and they worked great. No crud ring or hangfires. My accuracy was great. Sounds to me like you made a wise investment. Good shooting!

You guy's are now making me feel a little better. Especially since i have about 20,000 regular Winchester 209 shotshell primer's. I just wanted to try the new MZ specific primer's. I was not sure if they were a gimmick or not. You say they want $7 to $8 for the Winchester's?? Man they sure do want to stick ya don't they?? Tom.

Like I told the guy at the little sporting goods store.. I can buy 100 .22 shells cheaper then 100 209 primers. He never commented too much but what I think we are seeing is.. the merchandising market place taking advantage of an avenue of sales that has little or no other options. We are basically forced to buy them if we need them, and they know that.

I am a cheap SOG, I have stayed away from the special ML primers, EXCEPT, wal-mart was selling out their Winchester 777 primers - $2.00 a box so I bought 20 boxes (100 ea.) I have shot them they seem to work great.

I normally shoot Remington 209-4's a 410 shotgun primer they really work well except - Remington chose to discontinue them.

$5.00/hundered is to stiff for me, but so are Barnes and now Nosler's so I am shoot Gold Dot's... cheap i no i am cheap...

I have shot the ML Remington primers but found I have as good of luck with just plain old shot gun primers. Those special ML primers I think are (1. over priced and will stay that way as long as people pay the price for them.
Try the regular 209's at half or better of the price, if you don't have any problems with them, then save the extramoney.
I am also a cheap SOB so tight I squeak when I walk and shoot gold dots and HP XTP's which have killed a whole bunch of deer for those who use them.
