A pox on you guys for messing with my head!

All of this flintlock talk is really getting to me. I'm been having a hankering for a Savage Model 40, 22 Hornet, and have just about put aside the four-hundred bucks necessaryto do the deed. Now I find myself bopping through the net looking at flintlocks. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Decisions, decisions, decisions.

[&o][&o][&o] gee whiz. I don't want you to do something you don't want to do. You don't need a flintlock. All that smoke and flash and boom. You don't need a flintlock. Believe me, you don't need a flintlock. Hope that helps...

You guys are a really BIGhelp!

There's a "Great Southern"gun show about five miles from my house this week-end. We seldom see flintlocks at the shows around here. Kinda hope I don't see one Saturday. The temptation might be too much and I still won't have thatHornet, which I really want.

That is my newest flintlock. It is a .50 caliber Tradition's Woodsman Hawkins with a 1:48 twist. A real good shooter and very fast lock. Just in case you need to know what they look like...

just in case you like to look. This one has a removable breech plug, will handle pellets if you like, even 150 grains. But you really do not want one.. so it should not make any difference.
