Default New Encore

I just put a 50x209 Encore on lay away. It is stainless with 26 inch barrel Not the new pro hunter someone traded for it price was under 400.oo could not turn it down. Now i am sell off my 3 other 50 cals to pay for it. Hope I made the right move. I am looking to buy a couple of center fire barrels I have wanted to play with over the years.

Most post you read on the Encore talk about how accurate they are. I am sure you will really enjoy the rifle. The only thing I found that I dislike about the Encore is the shape of the stock. But that is a personal preference on my part. I will be looking forward to posts about how well it shoots for you.

Heck of a deal if you got it for under $400. Best of luck selling your old guns. Chap Gleason

You can get a real good deal on a new stock for your Encore-on E-Bay. If you have some patience. I have seen RH Thumbhole's go for $25. There are also some good barrel buy's on there from time to time. This is the right time of the year to get a good deal. Send your rifle off to Bellm or Stratton for a good trigger job. They charge a few dollars more, but they change the springs. Buy one of the Bellm oversized hinge pins also. Good Luck. I am sure you will like your Encore. The ML's can be finicky, but thecenterfire rifleoptions are limitless. Tom.

I heard that the over sized pin voids the warranty. May want to look into that before doing it.

Frontier might be right about the warranty? I use the #2 hinge pin which is slightly over-sized. No smithing work is required to install this pin in a factory barrel or reciever. It looks just like a factory pin. You can get larger pins, but they may take some modification. Some people like the larger ones. Tom.

You WILL love the Encore, an incredible rifle! I have both the Pro Hunter black/stainless and just yesterday I added the Realtree thumbhole/stainless Pro Hunter to my collection. I had the perfect excuse, my 11 year old Daughter wanted one for the Youth season. Good news is that she also wants a turkey barrel for the thumbhole model for nextSpring so that will be my excuse toaddthat barrel soon!
