Default I guess I went and done it again..

I was looking at auction sites and noticed a sweet nearly new .50 caliber Tradition's Hawkins Woodsman flintlock with a 1-48 twist. I liked the look of the stock and the other pictures of the rifle. Since this was a no reserve auction I new it would go cheaper then most, but never guessed I could make a simple bid and end up winning the auction. So even though I claimed a while back that I was done buying more rifles, I guess I am stuck with another one. I just got verification of the win...

nope, that was a really good deal on that rifle. My traditions loves 110 fffg powder and PRB. Make sure you let us know how it shoots.

Dave:
You poor man now you have to go throught all that work, working up loads, and fixing flints sure you can handle all the extra work. I would save you all that stress just send that dirty ole gun south a ways. I wouldn't want your spring cleaning to suffer

your kindness and thoughtfulness touches me deeply. But I will bare the burden and not shift that to others more fortunate.

I've been talking to him through e-mails. He already told me the loads it likes, and said he will ship it probably Monday. So things are looking up. Now it is a waiting game. He bought the rifle to hunt with while waiting for a custom rifle to be made for him. Once the other one came he saw no use in keeping both. Glad I don't think that way...
