Default Black Diamond and Apex Today

Got some shooting in today finally. Shot the BD again at 100yds. Open sites with 90gr t7 ff and 300gr tc mag sabots and the bullets that come with them. 4" group is what my eyes could do and I know with a scope this gun would easaly cut that in half. Then I shot my new Apex. I sited it in at 50yds and moved my target back to 100. I had a 1" bull on my target and put the next 3 shots in the bull. about a .50 group. First time this gun was shot was today. 2 T7 pellets and 250gr shockwave but I used harvester crushed rib sabot with them. For a 229 dollar gun looks like it will shoot with any of them. Going to try it again tomorrow with some hornady sst 250s. When things go good there aint much more fun than making smoke. Some day I'll figure out how and post some pics. Kerry

Sounds like you had an excellent time shooting. Good shooting by the way. It's always nice when the rifles work so well...

Tenmile - that's some fine shooting! Must have been nice to have the SW's load easily with the crush ribs and still produce like that. Had to be fun.

Yeoman, I loaded the first sw with the sabots that come with the bullets and about bent my range rod. The crushed rib seemed to load just right- alittle snug but went down alot easyier than the ones that came with. The way the gun shot they must fit the bbl just right. I've got some 3 petal I may try also. Kerry
