Default Cleaning the Disc Elite

When taking the bolt out to clean do you need the C tool like the original Disc. Thanks

The C - tool like the original disc is old technology. My understanding is the newer Knight Disc models do not require the C - tool to take the bolt out and apart. Actually I never saw that C -tool as a real problem unless of course you loose it.

I have the older disc with the C tool.Only used it 2-3 times.I just pull the bolt, spray it with carb cleaner or something similar, then spray with some silicone and then 1-2 drops of good lube.I've found the bolt doesn't catch nearly the blow back residue as some other muzzys.

I have the older Disc, I take mine apart at the end of the season with the c-tool and clean it good with rusty duck or wheteve I am using for solvent that year. I oil lightly around the screws with rem oil after it is dry.

I have the older disk with the C tool, and I take it apart after each shooting session. I then pay special attention to the pin and around the base of the pin where carbon likes to collect. I also take special care to clean the bolt out as well. Especially the point where the pin comes through the front of the bolt. I have pushed solvent patches up in there and the fowling that I get out of there would not be something I want to stay in my rifle for any length of time.
