is this a good twist rate?

yes for most sabots, powerbelts, saber tooth conicals, and even some conicals shoot well out of it. If you want to plink, load 50 gr of Pyrodex and a patched roundball. Many of the fast twist rifles do real well with a light powder charge and a patch and ball. It should really shine with the sabots though. Although let me say, a lot of inlines are tuned through experimentation with a lot of different sabots, bullets, and powder charge combinations.

its a great twist for sabots and conicals. with that traditions, i'd give the TC maxi hunters a try. Or if you can use sabots, try either the hornady sst or the XTP sabots.

My Traditions has a1:28 twist and I have cast my own bullets for years. Lee has good molds for this.
