Default scope rings

Based on the recommendations of several peope oh here I bought a bushnell banner dawn to dusk scope for my NEF sidekick.

Can anyone recommend a good set of scope rings?

I apologize if this is a neophyte question, but this is the first scope I have ever owned in 16 years of hunting.

Get the NEF scope mount base and hammer extension combo directly from them. Any good Weaver-style cross-slot rings will work - but I favor Warne QDs. I think you can get away with the medium height Warnes. High should be your choice if you are going to another brand. Those Bushnell's have a pretty big eyepiece.

I also like the Warne Maxima QD rings. You are going to like that Bushnell. I have one on a Black Diamond and it really works good. If you don't want the scope to come off the rifle for any reason then look at some B-Square rings for Weaver mounts.

I haven't used the Warne's but have heard they are good rings. My prefrence is the Burris Signature series. They have adjustable inserts that will not mar the finish on your scope and are self aligning so there is no torque on the tube. The ones I have are on a high recoil gun and have performed flawlessly to date. I will be replacing the rings I have on other guns with them as funds are available in the future. I give them a big thumbs up.

I used Kwik sites for my muzzle loader. A lot of times I hunt in fairly thick bush so it is nice to have look through rings so I can still use the fibre optic irons on my gun. They give the option of using the scope or the irons.
