Default got lucky... again

I ordered the GM drop-in barrel from Cabela's on Sunday following a post here for $202 (all in), on back order. Discovered since that Midway has the same barrel, on back order, for $179 (all in). Canceled the Cabela's order today, booked the Midway, and just found out the barrels arrived at Midway today and will ship tomorrow! Yes! I could be shooting it this weekend. Good, clean, living, I tell you, it works.

Hey Cayugad, what the heck is the status of that CVA lock? (not implying anything about "clean living")

Well! nice wheeling and dealing.... speaking of clean living - I am just wondering How clean is your truck this winter? It is beautiful today and I had all the intentions in the world of washing the truck, but I decided I needed to get the 4-wheelers started and moved, then Terry wanted to put the Christmas stuff back under the house and get it out of here storage area - she's getting ready to buy plants I can tell... Then she made me help clean up the yard and fertilize.... I hate fertilizing just means I gotta mow that much more... anyway no time for the truck and it is suppose to rain the rest of the week..

MidwayUSA had the best prices on the barrels so you did a good move.

As for the lock, I have not heard anything yet from them on it. Still waiting.

I am with you on that one....treat people right and it will come back to you sooner or later. Congrats on the good deal.

MO Archer - I had mixed feelings about this change as I had already placed the order with Cabela's. Their site was clear in stating that cancellations of items on back order was acceptable and provided the contact information for same. Cabela's has treated me very well for years, and I them. I've bought so much stuff from them that I get a hard cover Master Catalogue that's 2+" thick. It just felt a little awkward. Kind of like having ducks slip into the rig, unseen, then jump shooting them. Doesn't feel good so I don't do it. If someone else wants to, have at 'em.

Sabotloader- my truck is no neatnik for sure, and I ride on gravel and hardtop, not that gumbo stuff you get out west. I don't think you should wash the truck just yet; maybe even dirty it up a bit. Be a nice prize for the butt whoopin' you're gonna deliver this weekend. The eyes may grow weak but the calm of confidence will hold true. Hold 'em and squeeze 'em!

Cayugad - your patience is enviable. Like a line from Rudyard Kipling: "If you can wait, and not be tired by waiting". A good quality for a deer hunter.

I say the both of you leave your trucks god awful dirty and make a bet before you start shooting. Loser has to hand wash the winners truck and polish it.
