Default IAB 54 CAL. SHARPS LOADING QUESTION

I seem to stumble across a IAB 1863 sharps never fired: My question is how do you load this thing so it will shoot,I know they speak of paper patching the bullet but were is the BP going??
I love to play with BP I just tried shooting the 45-70 with BP but sold the gun only reason heavy recoil ,love my flinters but looking to play with a new toy,anyone have any idea or shoot the sharps 54 cal. rifle?

I have data for the 54 Sharpes with Pyrodex if you need it...........600gr bullet I believe........Harold
